Sophie was a shy and introverted girl who rarely spoke to anyone at school. She spent most of her time alone, reading books or drawing in her sketchbook. One day, while walking home from school, she saw a scruffy little dog wandering around the streets. The dog was thin and looked like it hadn't eaten in days.

Sophie felt sorry for the dog and decided to take it home with her. She named the dog Max and fed him some of her dinner. Max was grateful and licked Sophie's hand to show his appreciation.
